What's the endgame? The platform helps corporate development teams, private equity firms, M&A advisors, and investment banks find acquisition targets, buyers, and market opportunities. It combines a dataset of more than 370 million active companies with an AI engine that maps markets in minutes.
What does it do? The tool pulls together private company financials, group structures, valuation data, M&A transactions, and verified contacts. That lets users identify companies and decision-makers without manually stitching data from registries, databases, and spreadsheets.
The platform is used by more than 50,000 professionals across more than 30 countries, according to the company. One Big Four advisory firm is extending its deployment to more than 10 countries.
Why now? "Deal teams are taking more of the early market discovery into their own hands, reducing the time and cost of identifying opportunities before engaging external advisors," said co-founder Martin Kangasniemi.
Investors framed the opportunity as a shift away from older tools. "Comparables.ai's AI-native approach is disrupting a market still dominated by legacy, filter-based tools," said Artem Yaremchuk, general partner at Pragmatech. He added the company "can become a category leader in M&A intelligence."
What's next? The company will use the funding for multi-market rollouts and to strengthen its AI engine.
The signal: The round sits near the top of its class — above the 97th percentile for all-time seed deals in its category across Finland. It points to investor appetite for applying AI to the slow, fragmented workflows of mid-market dealmaking.
