CureMeAbroad lands $1.1M pre-seed for cross-border care

What's the deal? Healthtech platform CureMeAbroadDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has raised $1.1 million in a pre-seed round led by SteerX Ventures, with participation from existing investor AIRA. Founded in 2025 by Aditya Oza and Mikhail Bohra, the company helps patients find and book medical treatment across borders.

What's the endgame? The platform lets patients compare hospitals, verify providers against JCI or equivalent accreditation, get treatment estimates, and book care. It currently draws more than 22,500 visitors a month across a hospital network spanning six countries.

Where's the money going? The capital will fund an expanded accredited hospital network, new patient source markets, and the company's AI-powered technology and teams. CureMeAbroad also plans to move into orthopaedics and oncology, and explore physical experience centres in key markets.

Why now? "High healthcare costs and long waiting periods are encouraging patients in markets such as the US, Europe and Australia to explore quality care across borders," said Lalit Singla, founder and CEO of SteerX Ventures.

By the numbers: Key source markets include the US, UK, Australia, and Canada. The company is targeting $100 million in annual patient treatment bookings by FY28, up from a current run rate of $4.8 million.

The signal: At $1.1 million, the round sits in the 67th percentile for pre-seed deals — a modest but above-median start. It reflects growing investor interest in positioning India as a destination for international healthcare backed by an AI-native booking layer.
