Doni Shamsuddin, head of Asia Pacific at BNY Investments, added that cash is "playing an increasingly important role in portfolio construction."

Standard Chartered established the VCC platform in June 2024 to pair outside fund managers with its own asset class expertise, delivering curated strategies exclusively to clients. The platform now spans public and private markets across equities, fixed income and multi-asset strategies.
