FIXX Energy raises $27M to scale Smyrna battery production
What's the deal? FIXX EnergyDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a Smyrna, Tennessee-based battery manufacturer, has secured $27 million in growth equity financing to expand operations and ramp up production of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cells.
What's the endgame? FIXX makes LFP prismatic cells for grid and commercial energy storage systems, which it says offer safety, long operating life, and dependable performance. Its Tennessee facility has produced more than 4 million LFP cells to date.
Why now? The company said the capital will fund its commercial expansion as order volumes rise. "As power demand surges across the country, we're unlocking the next phase of American battery production, and this capital will scale that deployment," founder and chairman Brett Conrad said.
Who's backing it? The round drew commercial, financial, and strategic backers, alongside institutional investment managers and family offices. Members of FIXX Energy's executive leadership team also participated.
The signal: At $27 million, the raise sits in the middle of the pack by deal size — a measured bet on domestic battery supply rather than a blockbuster. It reflects investor interest in US-made energy storage as power demand climbs and manufacturers look to localise production.
