Scopevisio buys HANSALOG's finance arm as the HR firm narrows its focus
What's the deal? ScopevisioDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has acquired HANSALOG MEGA GmbHDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, the financial-accounting unit of Germany's HANSALOG GruppeDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, effective October 1, 2026. Terms were not disclosed. The unit will be renamed Scopevisio Mega GmbHDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →.
Who's who? HANSALOGDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → is an owner-managed group that has specialised in payroll, HR software, and human capital management for more than 50 years. Bonn-based Scopevisio builds cloud-based ERP software for mid-sized firms, employing over 300 people across Germany and Austria and serving more than 7,500 customers.
Why now? HANSALOG is exiting financial accounting to concentrate on its core payroll and HR business. "The requirements for business software are changing significantly. Cloud technologies, automation, and artificial intelligence are driving development in all areas," said Simone Gövert, managing director of HANSALOG Gruppe (translated from German).
The MEGA unit joined HANSALOG around eight years ago, covering financial and asset accounting, cost accounting, and invoicing. The business now passes to a specialist ERP provider that bundles financial accounting with other commercial processes.
What changes for customers? Little, for now. HANSALOG says the existing team and contacts remain in place, and current contracts, maintenance, and support will continue. Its payroll, HR, and HCM offerings are unaffected for MEGA customers.
The signal: The deal reflects a broader sorting in German business software, as mid-market vendors double down on narrow specialisms while cloud ERP players consolidate complementary functions. For HANSALOG, that means betting its next 50 years on payroll and HR; for Scopevisio, it is another step toward a single commercial platform for the Mittelstand.
