Who's who? Parson's Nose, founded in 2007, runs four London butcher shops — in Fulham, Belgravia, South Kensington, and Putney — plus a nationwide online delivery business. Farmison, founded in Yorkshire in 2011, became known for sourcing heritage-breed meat from British farmers and has been named Online Butcher of the Year.

What's the rationale? Farm Traders is owned by husband-and-wife directors Tony and Serena Hindhaugh, who say the two brands share founding principles around British meat and farmer relationships. "Operationally, Farmison fits seamlessly with our existing business," Tony Hindhaugh said.

What changes? Farmison will gain access to Parson's Nose's sourcing relationships, operational infrastructure, and nationwide fulfilment. "Our ambition is simple: we want to bring the Farmison back to Farmison," Hindhaugh said.

The signal: The acquisition forms part of Farm Traders' strategy to build a premium British butchery group — and shows how established online butchers are consolidating distressed rivals to scale. Parson's Nose claims average annual growth of 17% since 2020 through its online business.
