FieldAI raises $700M at $10B valuation for its robot brain

What's the deal? FieldAIDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has raised $700 million in a late-stage round at US$6.47B valuation, according to a person familiar with the deal. That more than quadruples the robotics startup's valuation in just over a year.

What's the endgame? Founded in 2023, FieldAI is building what it calls a "universal general-purpose brain" designed to work across robots, tasks, and environments. Its software can power humanoids, robot dogs, drones, and industrial rovers, letting them operate autonomously in unpredictable settings.

Why now? The company was valued at $2 billion a year ago, after raising over $400 million from investors including Jeff Bezos' family office, Laurene Powell Jobs' Emerson Collective, and Khosla Ventures. It's not clear which firm led the latest round; FieldAI did not respond to a request for comment.

By the numbers: Since June, FieldAI has added at least $35 million in revenue and customer contracts, bringing the total to more than $135 million. Customers span construction firms, data center operators, and defense companies.

What could go wrong? The valuation is a bet that FieldAI can make its robot brain work in messy, real-world settings — a challenge that has long tripped up robotics companies. "We have seen very, very fast growth in the last several months," chief executive officer Ali Agha told Business Insider in June.

The signal: The round sits in the top 4% of all-time late-stage deep tech rounds in the US, underscoring how hard investors are pushing into "physical AI." It brings FieldAI closer to rivals Physical Intelligence, valued at roughly $11 billion, and Skild AIDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, valued at more than $14 billion.
