Swiss cloud provider Infomaniak lists on SIX at $400M valuation

Why now? European companies and organisations are seeking sovereign alternatives in cloud and AI services. The listing gives Infomaniak access to capital markets to accelerate its expansion.

The listed B-shares opened at US$51.3 and rose to US$77.9 a day later.

What's the endgame? Founded in 1994, Infomaniak offers sovereign cloud infrastructure, collaboration tools, AI services, data storage, web hosting, and streaming. It plans to use capital to add data center capacity in Switzerland, deepen AI integration across its services, and expand commercially across Europe.

"Companies and organisations in Switzerland and across Europe are looking for sovereign alternatives in the cloud and in AI, and we have been building one in Switzerland for more than 30 years," said chief executive officer Marc Oehler.

Who stays in control? The Infomaniak Foundation will continue to hold the majority of voting power through unlisted A-shares. The company said the structure keeps strategic control aligned with its mission, ensuring its commitment to independence, Swiss roots, and sustainability.

The signal: Infomaniak's debut reflects growing demand for European data sovereignty as firms look beyond US cloud giants. "Infomaniak's listing is an important milestone for Switzerland as a technology and innovation hub," said Tomas Kindler, global head of exchanges at SIX, noting it shows how Swiss technology companies can scale and reach public markets.
