What's the endgame? The platform guides couples from first idea to a shortlist. They describe the wedding they're imagining, and it suggests matching venues, offers immersive virtual viewings, and connects them directly with venue teams.

Why now? Founder and chief executive Stacey Ferguson-Czersovski spent more than 20 years in weddings and hospitality, building her first business, The Venue Experts, without external investment. She saw couples trawling listings and travelling to viewings that never fit, while venues fielded enquiries from people unlikely to book.

"For as long as I've worked in this industry, venue discovery has been fragmented and time-consuming for couples and venues alike," she said. The investment will help turn the platform into one that "works for the UK and, ultimately, for international markets."

The investor's view: Jeffrey Faustin, chief investment officer and managing partner at Jenson Ventures, said VenueVerse is "addressing a clear gap in a large, established market, combining AI and immersive technology with genuine sector insight." Jenson will work closely with the team as it prepares for launch.

The signal: The round shows early-stage investors backing AI tools aimed at niche, established markets where discovery remains slow and manual. As Faustin put it, greater choice is reshaping how couples find venues — and where they book.
