Western Ridge grabs WA gold-antimony portfolio, raises US$847.6K to drill
What's the deal? Western Ridge ResourcesDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has signed a binding agreement to acquire a portfolio of gold and gold-antimony projects across four granted tenements in Western Australia's Murchison region from Odin Capital GroupDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →. It has also secured firm commitments to raise US$847.6K to fund exploration across the portfolio.
What's the endgame? The centrepiece is the Seven Mile Well Gold-Antimony Project, about 7km from the Big Bell Gold Deposit within the Big Bell Shear Zone, roughly 30km northwest of Cue.
Western Ridge, with support from MinValDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, has developed a conceptual exploration target of 2Mt to 11Mt at 1g/t to 5g/t gold — equating to 130,000oz to 1,000,000oz of contained gold across two interpreted mineralised shears. The company notes the figures remain conceptual, with insufficient exploration to define a mineral resource.
Why now? Programmes of work have been approved for reverse circulation drilling on three tenements, with the first campaign planned for Q4 2026. Near-term plans include a 2,000m aircore drilling programme at the Lady Alma Prospect, plus an induced-polarisation survey and RC drilling at Seven Mile Well.
A 2025 auger sampling programme across the two Seven Mile Well licences flagged multiple northeast-trending zones of anomalous gold. It delineated a western zone of about 2.5km strike length and an eastern zone roughly 1km long, with the eastern shear seen as potentially higher grade at 3g/t to 5g/t gold.
The portfolio also includes the Lady Alma Gold Project, a 156.7-hectare prospecting licence on the Gabanintha Shear Zone that has yet to see systematic drilling. Field inspections there revealed visible native gold within an ironstone–quartz reef. The Jasper Star Gold Project, a granted mining lease with an Aboriginal heritage agreement in place, rounds out the holdings.
What could go wrong? The headline exploration target is conceptual, and antimony and arsenic are being used as pathfinders for Big Bell-style mineralisation beneath cover. Drilling results from the Q4 2026 campaigns will determine whether the ground supports a defined resource.
The signal: The deal reflects continued appetite for Murchison gold ground near established deposits, with antimony — an increasingly watched critical mineral — adding a second lever to the thesis. Western Ridge is betting that proximity to Big Bell and fresh capital can turn early geochemistry into drill-tested targets.
