What's the endgame? The acquisition expands IPG's packaging portfolio by adding Clysar's shrink-film products, deepening its presence in protective and consumer packaging.
Who's behind it? Clearlake Capital, the private equity firm that owns IPG, was founded in 2006 and manages more than $185 billion in assets. It applies a hands-on operating approach it calls O.P.S.® — Operations, People, Strategy — to the businesses it backs.
