Texas credit union giant RBFCU enters Oklahoma via True Sky merger

By the numbers: The merged credit union will serve more than 1.1 million members and hold assets approaching $20 billion. RBFCU alone held assets exceeding $19.6 billion before the deal closed.

Try Dealroom → approved the merger in May, and True Sky members voted in favor in August, granting final approval. Both organizations have operated for more than 70 years, sharing roots in aviation and a "people helping people" philosophy.

What's the endgame? Over the next year, RBFCU will integrate True Sky's systems and combine operations to serve members in the greater Oklahoma City area. Founded in 1952, RBFCU is a full-service financial cooperative operating branches across Texas and now Oklahoma.
