Opus 2 acquires Bundledocs, adding 1,900 legal clients across 35 countries
What's the deal? Opus 2 InternationalDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a London-based litigation platform, has acquired BundledocsDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, an Irish document bundling software company. Terms were undisclosed. Bundledocs serves 1,900 clients across 35 countries, including more than 100 of the UK's top 200 law firms.
What each side brings: Bundledocs provides cloud-based software that helps legal teams prepare, review, and manage complex document workflows. Its 23 staff and offices in Cork, Toronto, and London join Opus 2, which builds tools for litigation and arbitration teams.
Why now? The two companies have worked alongside each other for years, Opus 2 said, citing shared values and a client-focused approach. Chief executive officer Greg Blackman said the deal would ensure clients "have every possible advantage and efficiency."
What changes for customers? Nothing immediately. There are no planned changes to office locations, and the deal lifts Opus 2's footprint to 14 sites worldwide. Brian Kenneally, co-founder and chief executive officer of Bundledocs, called the move "a natural next step."
What's the endgame? This is Opus 2's third acquisition in recent years, following Uncover last year. The company says it wants to build "an even more connected dispute lifecycle" spanning litigation, arbitration, and beyond.
The signal: Legal tech consolidation continues as platform vendors fold in specialist tools to cover more of the matter lifecycle. By absorbing a widely used bundling product with deep UK law firm penetration, Opus 2 buys both distribution and a document capability rather than building one.
