Awfis lands $8.3M debt facility from IDFC FIRST Bank for expansion
What's the deal? Awfis Space Solutions has secured a total credit facility of US$10.9M from IDFC FIRST BankDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, the flexible workspace provider disclosed to stock exchanges on September 30, 2026. The package comprises a US$10.2M corporate term loan and a US$679K overdraft facility, both signed on September 29.
Where's the money going? The term loan is earmarked for reimbursing existing capital expenditure and funding new projects, while the overdraft covers working capital needs. As of September 30, the outstanding balance on both facilities stands at nil.
Why the structure matters: The US$10.2M term loan makes up the bulk of the borrowing, signalling that capital-intensive expansion — not routine liquidity — is the primary driver. The facility is secured by exclusive charges on movable fixed assets, receivables, and a debt service reserve account.
What the lender wants: IDFC FIRST Bank requires a 2.0x cover on receivables through an escrow account and a reserve covering two months of principal and interest. The terms suggest the bank places substantial weight on the predictability of Awfis' cash flows from approved counterparties.
The deal, which followed an earlier intimation dated May 25, 2026, does not involve related parties. IDFC FIRST Bank has no connection to Awfis' promoters or group companies.
The signal: As post-IPO debt, the raise ranks in the top few percent by size in its window, underscoring lender confidence in India's flexible workspace sector. The financing gives Awfis room to scale its footprint while keeping leverage tied to receivables performance.
