Bonnier Capital adds $4M to satellite maker AAC Clyde Space
What's the deal? AAC Clyde SpaceDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a Swedish small-satellite technology and services company, has raised US$4.84M (roughly $4 million) after its largest shareholder, Bonnier CapitalDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, exercised previously issued warrants. The move completes a strategic investment structure first announced in December 2025.
The details: Bonnier Capital subscribed for shares at US$12.8 each, taking its stake to about 19.2% of shares and votes. The transaction lifts AAC Clyde Space's share count from 7,794,430 to 8,173,289 and dilutes existing holders by roughly 4.6%.
Why now? The warrant exercise wraps up a commitment Bonnier Capital signalled at the outset. "Exercising the warrants is a natural continuation of our commitment," said Carl Backman, chief executive officer of Bonnier Capital, citing strengthened conviction in the company's long-term potential.
What's the endgame? AAC Clyde Space builds satellite components, runs mission services, and delivers space-based data for uses spanning weather monitoring, maritime safety, defence, and agriculture. Chief executive officer Luis Gomes said the backing "strengthens our ability to execute on our strategy and pursue the opportunities ahead."
Headquartered in Uppsala, Sweden, the company also operates in the UK, Netherlands, South Africa, and the US. Its shares trade on Nasdaq First North Premier Growth Market in Stockholm and on the US OTCQX Market.
The signal: An engaged anchor investor doubling down is a vote of confidence for a listed small-cap in the capital-hungry space sector. For AAC Clyde Space, locking in Bonnier Capital as a near-20% owner brings both funding and a committed backer as it competes in the growing market for small-satellite data.
