The angle: The $5 million total ranks among the largest seed rounds for a Spain-based AI startup, sitting in the 96th percentile of 636 comparable deals tracked all-time.
What's the endgame? PERPTools is targeting the decentralized perpetual futures market, which it said accounts for more than $10 billion in daily trading volume across exchanges. It aims to combine market discovery, analytics, execution, liquidity, and AI-driven strategies in one environment, tapping DEXTools' base of what the company says is 30 million traders.
The product: The platform has launched three products ahead of a Token Generation Event planned for the fourth quarter of 2026. These include Perp DEX, a live mainnet perpetual exchange; AI Arena, a marketplace where users build autonomous trading agents in about five minutes using natural language; and Tap Prediction, a real-time prediction market with stakes from $0.10. The platform has generated $240 million in trading volume during its private beta.
How it works: PERPTools runs on Orderly Network's omnichain liquidity engine, an order-book infrastructure that shares liquidity across blockchains without requiring users to bridge assets. Orderly is also a stakeholder and strategic partner.
What could go wrong? AI Arena lets users deposit USDC into agents ranked by 30-day on-chain profit-and-loss records. The company said its on-chain structure makes reported performance independently verifiable, but leveraged, autonomous trading carries clear risk for backers.
The signal: The round reflects continued investor appetite for products that fold AI agents into crypto trading. By pairing Orderly's institutional-grade liquidity with DEXTools' existing distribution, PERPTools is betting that a single integrated venue — not fragmented tools — is where decentralized derivatives trading is heading.
