Livingbridge-backed Elevare debuts with dual UK housing tech acquisitions

What's the deal? Industry veterans David Lockie and Elona Mortimer-Zhika have launched Elevare Software GroupDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → with the acquisitions of RubixxDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → and Voicescape, two UK housing technology providers. Announced on September 30, 2026, the deals mark ElevareDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →'s entry into the sector. Terms were not disclosed.

What each company does: Rubixx runs a cloud-native housing management platform that helps social landlords stay compliant and efficient, supporting 40 organisations across roughly 100,000 properties. Voicescape uses behavioural science, data analytics, and automation to improve resident engagement and rent collection, serving more than 135 housing associations and local authorities covering around four million homes.

Who's behind it? Elevare is backed by mid-market private equity firm LivingbridgeDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →. Lockie and Mortimer-Zhika previously led IRIS Software GroupDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → through its $4 billion recapitalisation, one of Europe's largest technology buyouts at the time.

What changes? The transaction is an exit for BGFDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, which backed Voicescape in 2023 and has reinvested alongside Elevare. Both businesses will anchor what Elevare calls a housing technology ecosystem, the first of multiple sectors it plans to enter.

Why now? UK landlords face growing pressure to improve home quality and safety. Phase 2 of Awaab's Law extends their responsibilities for addressing hazards, while Universal Credit adds complexity to rent collection — both driving demand for compliance and efficiency technology.

What's the endgame? Elevare aims to help software businesses scale while keeping their identity, combining long-term capital with an AI-first approach. "Too many strong software businesses hit a ceiling, not because the opportunity isn't there, but because they lack the right support for what comes next," said Lockie, chief executive officer.

The signal: The launch reflects private capital targeting overlooked "behind the scenes" software as government reform reshapes UK social housing. "As housing enters a decade of investment and reform, Rubixx and Voicescape show how the right technology and leadership can help organisations respond to growing industry expectations," said Mortimer-Zhika, chair of Elevare.
