What's the endgame? Founded in 2025 by former SwapfietsDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → and Tibber executive Onno Huyghe and physician Leanne Verdonck, the company sells a €299 "360-degree" health check. It assesses areas such as cardiovascular health, metabolism, and liver and kidney function in one hour, using hundreds of data points reviewed by an on-site doctor.
Why now? Since launching, more than 2,000 people have booked a check at its Amsterdam location on the Prinsengracht, which is fully booked through November. The company now plans to open in Paris or Milan in the first half of 2027.
"Italy and France are the most attractive markets for us," said Huyghe, adding that the company's own research shows both cities "offer at least as much potential as Amsterdam."
The context: Huyghe argues that periodic health checks are already embedded in healthcare systems in countries such as Japan, Germany, and the UK, but not in the Netherlands. The round follows an earlier raise of more than €1.1 million.
The signal: The seed round ranks in the 95th percentile by size among Big Data seed deals in the Netherlands, a sign of investor appetite for preventive care models that turn personal health data into a consumer product. Blue Health Intelligence's ambition, in Huyghe's words, is "becoming Europe's leading preventive health platform."
