What does EasyLlama do? Founded in 2019, it sells what it calls a "compliance team in a box," combining a course library, Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) integrations, and AI-powered workflow automation. The platform serves more than 5,500 SMBs across technology, healthcare, professional services, manufacturing, and hospitality.
Why now? EasyLlama started as a harassment-prevention tool after California Senate Bill 1343 required employers with five or more staff to provide training. It has since grown into a broader GRC platform as state and federal compliance mandates multiply.
What's the endgame? Inverness Graham plans to deepen EasyLlama's software capabilities, expand its content, and pursue acquisitions. "We look forward to working together to scale the platform, both organically and through strategic acquisitions," said co-founder and chief executive officer Samuel Devyver.
Why Inverness Graham? The firm manages more than $1.8 billion in assets and has prior GRC and HR technology bets, including SyntrioDealroom has a profile for this one. "Small businesses now face many of the same compliance requirements as large enterprises, but few have the resources to manage them alone," said partner Chris Frystock.
The signal: Compliance is becoming an enterprise-grade burden for smaller companies, and investors see a market in packaging it affordably. Inverness Graham is betting consolidation in the fragmented SMB GRC space can turn EasyLlama into a platform of scale.
