Replit buys Atta to add AI data analysis inside its build platform

What's the deal? Replit has acquired AttaDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, an AI-powered analytics startup, to let users run business analysis and build charts directly in Replit's chat interface without writing SQL. Announced September 25, the deal folds Atta's data interpretation technology into the platform. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Why now? The first integration is already live through Replit Agent. Users can upload a dataset or connect a data source in chat, ask questions in plain language, and get interactive charts back.

What's the endgame? Replit is best known for building software; the Atta deal extends it into analyzing the data businesses use for daily decisions. The system runs the underlying analysis and picks visualizations to match a query — waterfall charts for revenue changes, heatmaps for retention patterns.

What changes for teams? The goal is to let teams probe questions about growth, revenue, or customer behavior without building a separate workflow for each one. Atta's tools let users examine KPI changes, test revenue scenarios, and explore pricing and retention. Co-founders Omar Shaik and Amine Ben Khalifa have joined Replit.

Bridging analysis and building. Replit is connecting analysis with the work that follows — insights could feed into presentations, internal workflows, or new software built on the platform. For now, the concrete change is that users can bring business data into Replit and explore it with AI-generated analysis.

The signal: The acquisition reflects a push to collapse the handoffs between business teams and technical specialists. It keeps data exploration in the same environment teams already use to build and run their tools, though it does not replace experienced analysts or careful interpretation.
