Try Dealroom →. The money will fund the development and distribution of MetaCoachDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, the startup's AI-based training platform.

What does it do? MetaCoach lets employees learn by interacting with AI-driven characters, practising skills from de-escalation and communication to team management and company-specific procedures. Trainers receive ongoing reports and feedback from each session.

Why now? Axon and Immersion Labs have worked together for years, a relationship that began with the startup supplying software and grew into co-developing Axon's core VR training products, used daily by hundreds of thousands of US police officers.

"An investor becomes a partner who has known our technology and our team for years, so this decision carries special weight for us," said Piotr Baczyński, chief executive officer of Immersion Labs (translated from Polish).

What's the endgame? Axon, which supplies public services and large US enterprises, will add MetaCoach to its official offering for business customers, opening a path to deploy the platform across major corporations. On the US police market, Axon will sell it alongside body cameras, Tasers, and VR training.

The company puts the addressable US law-enforcement market at 800,000 potential users.

Traction: Dozens of Fortune 500 companies already use Immersion Labs technology, together employing 4 million workers. MetaCoach's fastest growth is in healthcare and retail, with clients including some of the largest US hospital systems and global retail chains.

"We believe AI-based conversational training will fundamentally change how employees learn and prepare for difficult real-world situations," said Rick Smith, chief executive officer of Axon (translated from Polish). "Our investment is an expression of trust in both the technology and the team behind it."

The signal: A $40 billion incumbent backing and distributing a Polish startup's software points to growing demand for AI-driven, scenario-based training in high-pressure, frontline roles — and to a route for European startups to reach US enterprise buyers through established partners.
