What's the deal? Zambian startup Quotify Services LimitedDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has won $10,000 in equity-free grant funding as one of five winners of the sixth Women in Tech Zambia programme. The award was announced at the programme's Demo Day on September 24, 2026. The programme was run by BongoHive with the Standard CharteredDealroom has a profile for this one. What's the endgame? QuotifyDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, founded by quantity surveyor Wanji Maluba, is building a centralised platform for structured construction cost data. It targets contractors, quantity surveyors, consultants, developers, procurement professionals, and government agencies.

Why now? Maluba started the company after finding it hard to access current construction pricing. Many professionals in Zambia still rely on spreadsheets, dated price lists, and supplier contacts when preparing estimates.

The grant lets Quotify keep developing its platform without giving up ownership. The company already has a working prototype and has partnered with the Zambia Institute of Quantity Surveyors, the Association of Building and Civil Engineering Contractors, and the Zambia Public Procurement Authority.

Quotify is also building a QS Service Desk with the Zambia Institute of Quantity Surveyors, giving smaller contractors access to professional support for material schedules, quantity take-offs, bills of quantities, and pricing.

The path here: Quotify was one of 20 women-led businesses picked for the 2026 programme, narrowed to 10 for a 12-week accelerator covering customer discovery, business models, and fundraising. The other four funded startups were Techroots IT Solutions ZambiaDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, Likumi Financial ServicesDealroom has a profile for this one. The signal: Equity-free grants remain a key entry point for early-stage African founders building infrastructure for underserved sectors. Quotify's longer-term aim is construction pricing intelligence that could eventually reach markets beyond Zambia — for now, it is focused on expanding its local data and supplier network.
