Try Dealroom →, a Texas-based electric vehicle charging provider, in a transaction valued at up to $4.8 million. The deal, signed September 28, 2026, is expected to close October 1, subject to TSX Venture Exchange approval.
How is it structured? Most of the price is equity: $3 million in HyperchargeDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → shares at closing, $500,000 in cash, and up to $1.25 million in deferred shares tied to REVS hitting gross profit milestones over three years. Hypercharge also extended REVS a $200,000 secured loan during exclusivity, which converts to equity at closing.
What's the endgame? The acquisition gives Vancouver-based Hypercharge on-the-ground US operations to complement its existing network across 14 states. REVS generates more than US$733.3K in annual charging and services revenue at a gross margin above 45%, expanding Hypercharge's recurring income and its shift toward owning and operating infrastructure.
Why now? As a Canadian company, Hypercharge has faced trade friction. A US base gives it "more flexibility in how we serve customers, build partnerships, and source equipment," said chief executive officer David Bibby.
REVS founder and chief executive officer David Aaronson will join as president of Hypercharge's US subsidiary. The deal follows Hypercharge's earlier 2026 acquisition of EddieDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, and the company said it plans further deals to expand geographically and grow recurring revenue.
The signal: The purchase reflects consolidation among EV charging operators pursuing scale and steadier services income over hardware sales. It also shows North American firms building local footprints to hedge against shifting tariffs and trade policy.
