What does it do? Founded in 2024, Spotable builds software that helps contractors — starting with roofers — measure buildings and prepare quotes. Using a building's address, it applies geographic data and AI to digitally measure the structure and generate a 3D model.
Why now? Spotable targets manual processes in construction, where roofers can spend an average of eight hours per project measuring and quoting. Many quotes are still built in Excel, and tradespeople often visit sites in person before knowing whether they will win the work.
What's the endgame? The platform now connects contractors, distributors, and manufacturers: contractors calculate requirements and prepare quotes, distributors integrate their ranges and pricing, and manufacturers place products inside the tradesperson's decision. "No more paperwork, just real results," said co-founder and chief executive officer Sebastien Vandendriessche.
Where next? After growth in Belgium and the Netherlands, Spotable is targeting France and Germany, where it aims to onboard more construction firms and sign distributor and manufacturer partnerships. It is also expanding into the US, where it has tested its technology at trade fairs and set up a first commercial presence.
The signal: The round ranks in the 95th percentile among all-time seed rounds for real estate startups in Belgium, a sign of investor appetite for tools that digitise construction's slow, manual workflows.
