France's HRS raises €3.8 million to extend runway into 2026
What's the deal? Hydrogen Refueling Solutions (HRS)Dealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a French designer and manufacturer of hydrogen infrastructure, has secured €3.81 million in subscription commitments for a reserved capital increase. The Grenoble-based company will issue up to 4,766,992 new shares at €0.80 each, with a subscription window running from September 29 through October 7, 2026.
Breaking down the raise: The €3.81 million comprises €2.33 million in cash and €1.48 million through the set-off of receivables. Alongside the equity, HRS is drawing down a second €500,000 tranche of ordinary bonds, first issued in August 2026.
Who's in? New investors include Arago TechnologiesDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, parent company of Azur DatacenterDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, which HRS is working with on next-generation data center solutions. The bondholder committed to subscribing to the second tranche and to roughly €480,000 of the capital increase via set-off of its outstanding balance.
Why now? HRS said in August that either a full bond drawdown or bank financing would extend its cash runway through the end of 2026. These transactions immediately strengthen its cash position, and the company is still in talks with longstanding banking partners for additional financing.
What's the endgame? HRS describes itself as the European leader in hydrogen refuelling stations. Founder and chief executive officer Hassen Rachedi said the deals "significantly" extend its financial runway, giving it "the time required to continue executing our roadmap."
The signal: The modest, mixed-structure raise — combining cash, receivables, bonds, and pending bank talks — points to cautious market conditions for hydrogen infrastructure. For HRS, the priority is buying time to pursue its industrial ambitions rather than scaling aggressively.
