Nudge, operated by iSocial Sports Private LimitedDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, did not disclose the investment size or its valuation, citing the investor's private protocol, co-founder and chief executive officer Meet Shah told ETEntrepreneur.

What does Nudge do? Users scan purchase receipts across grocery, retail, dining, pharmacy, and online shopping to earn rewards redeemable with partner brands. For brands, the company builds a consumer intelligence layer around verified purchase data, converting receipts into item-level insights across online and offline channels.

The pitch: brands can see what consumers actually buy rather than relying on impressions, clicks, or intent signals. Receipts offer "a direct and consented view" of purchases, Shah said.

By the numbers. Nudge reports more than 3.3 million monthly active users, 400,000 daily active users, and over 20 million lifetime installs. Its platform spans more than 200 Indian cities and 500-plus brand partners.

What's the money for? The capital will expand Nudge's technology, data science capabilities, and brand and merchant partnerships. It is also developing a WhatsApp-based "Nudge Agent" that lets users capture, track, and act on purchases without installing an app.

What's the endgame? Nudge plans to introduce paid brand dashboards, outcome-priced campaign tools, and intelligence products based on aggregated, de-identified purchase patterns. Over the next 12 to 24 months, it aims to grow its consumer panel and expand into MENA and Southeast Asia.

The signal: The pivot reflects a broader bet that verified, consented purchase data can outvalue traditional ad-intent signals. "With Nudge, we are applying that capability to a much larger opportunity, connecting everyday consumer purchases with rewards, commerce and actionable intelligence for brands," Shah said.
