What does it do? Led by Hamed Nilforoshan and Ali Mir, HiringCafe uses proprietary scraping technology and AI agents to index millions of jobs directly from company career pages. Users upload a resume, and the AI parses their experience to recommend matched roles — free of any paywall or subscription.
The product angle: Alongside the raise, the company is launching an AI Talent Agent that lets anyone create AI agents to search across millions of jobs on their behalf. The system also filters out ghost listings, so candidates only see roles that are actively hiring.
Why it stands out: The round sits in the 96th percentile by size among all-time seed-stage deals in US jobs and recruitment, based on a sample of 2,002 rounds. That places HiringCafe well above the typical early-stage raise in its sector.
What's the endgame? The company plans to use the funds to expand operations and its development efforts, building out its always-on, 24/7 job search tool.
The signal: The backing of angels from ZipRecruiter and Indeed points to a shift in how recruitment platforms think about AI-driven discovery — betting on agents that work for candidates rather than employers, and doing it without a paywall.
