Humanos raises $3.2M to score the risk of AI agents in real time

What's the endgame? Humanos assigns each AI agent a live risk score from 0 to 100 that shifts as the agent operates. It weighs who is behind an agent, what permissions it holds, its past behaviour, and whether its latest activity looks unusual.

That changing score sits inside a "risk passport" that builds a history of the controls placed on an agent, incidents linked to its activity, and eventually the economic outcomes of its actions.

Why now? As AI agents shift from answering questions to carrying out tasks and touching financial systems, their risk becomes harder to pin down. Humanos argues traditional insurance assessments, fixed at a single point in time, break down when an agent's memory, permissions, and counterparties keep changing.

"Every time an agent acts, the risk changes because the memory changes," co-founder and chief executive officer Pedro Andrade said.

How does it make money? Humanos wants the passport to help insurers, lenders, and capital providers decide when to extend products to an AI agent or its operator. It is also building a marketplace for businesses to access insurance, credit, and yield offerings tied to their agents.

Its guardrails and enforcement tools, meant to reduce agent risk, are offered free to companies on the platform.

What's the traction? Founded only last year, Humanos says its infrastructure is deployed across more than 350 fintechs, hospitals, and insurers. Adoption started with a Portuguese insurance company before spreading through referrals and inbound interest, according to Andrade.

Current partners include Insurenow and Harbor, both looking at insurance for the agentic economy, AI-agent lending startup Agentics Credit, and agentic crypto company Owney.

The signal: As autonomous agents start transacting, the money around them — insurance, credit, capital — needs a way to price behaviour that never stops changing. Humanos is betting that a live risk score, not a one-time check, becomes the ticket agents need to access financial products.
