Abu Dhabi's Ajyal Holding takes 25% stake in real estate advisory Sterling Ark

What's the deal? Ajyal HoldingDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, an Abu Dhabi-based diversified business group, has acquired a 25% stake in Sterling ArkDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, an independent real estate advisory and project delivery firm, the companies said. Terms were undisclosed. The two have also formed a strategic alliance to expand Sterling Ark across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

What each side brings: Sterling Ark offers end-to-end advisory and project delivery across sectors including commercial, residential, logistics, hospitality, education, retail, and healthcare. Ajyal operates in real estate, contracting, fit-out, building materials, and technology through its subsidiaries and associates.

What's the endgame? Sterling Ark plans to scale its founder-led platform across the region, building on existing project expertise and operating frameworks. Technology is central to that plan: its Technology as a Service model uses AI, standardised processes, and real-time systems to strengthen project governance and transparency.

Why now? The deal lands amid a surge in Abu Dhabi's property market. The emirate recorded US$29.9B in real estate transactions in the first half of 2026, up 112% year-on-year, alongside a 309% jump in sector foreign direct investment.

"Our alliance with Ajyal HoldingDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → marks an important step in Sterling Ark's progress," said Sankey Prasad, chairman of Sterling Ark. "It gives us greater scope to pursue new opportunities and build on our capabilities across the region."

Ajyal chairman Ahmed M. Al Romaithi said the group looks to "partner with businesses that have a clear sense of purpose and the ability to turn that vision into results," pointing to Prasad's regional experience.

The signal: A minority-stake alliance rather than a full buyout lets Sterling Ark keep its independent, founder-led identity while tapping Ajyal's capital and adjacent businesses. It is a bet that a booming Abu Dhabi property market rewards firms that can deliver projects at scale.
