HCS backs 24/7 support push with €1.45M and a New Zealand team
What's the deal? Managed service provider HCSDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → is investing €1.45 million to launch a 24/7 "follow-the-sun" support capability for Irish and international customers, run by specialist teams in Ireland and New Zealand.
Why now? The investment responds to growing demand from mid-market and enterprise customers for always-on support, faster technical response, and resilient IT services.
What's the endgame? The launch is the first part of a multi-phase strategy to strengthen HCS's customer support and service delivery model. Alongside 24/7 monitoring, triage, and escalation, the capability will cover data protection and cyber resilience.
Why New Zealand? HCS chose the country for its favourable time zone alignment with Ireland, its technology talent pool, and cultural fit. The New Zealand team will work with HCS colleagues in Ireland to provide continuous coverage.
The model aims to spot issues earlier, escalate them quickly, and cut the likelihood of customer disruption. "The launch of HCS's new follow-the-sun service is a fundamental shift in how we support our customers," said Finn Grant, head of service delivery.
Chief executive officer Pamela Farrell framed the move as risk reduction. "When technology disruption occurs, the impact can be financial, operational and reputational," she said. "This investment is about helping customers reduce that risk."
The signal: HCS is shifting from traditional support toward an always-on model, using geographic spread to promise continuous coverage — a positioning aimed squarely at enterprise buyers who cannot afford downtime.
