Try Dealroom → has launched the Titanium Active Asset Allocator Long-Short Fund under its Titanium Specialized Investment Fund (SIF) platform. The strategy will dynamically allocate across equity, debt, commodity derivatives, and equity derivatives, with selective exposure to InvITs and IPOs.
Why now? The new fund offering opened on September 23 and closes on October 7, 2026. The minimum aggregate investment across strategies offered under Titanium SIF is US$13.6K at the PAN level.
What's the endgame? Equity exposure, including REITs, can range from 35% to 100%, while debt and money-market instruments can account for up to 65% of the portfolio. Commodity derivatives can constitute up to 30%, and the fund can take tactical exposure of up to 20% to InvITs.
Fund manager Sailesh Jain said the portfolio will be managed "with a predominantly market-neutral orientation, using equity arbitrage, commodity arbitrage, fixed income and derivative strategies as different return engines." The fund will also selectively participate in IPOs and special situations when the risk-reward is favourable.
The fund will be benchmarked against 35% BSE 200 TRI + 50% CRISIL Short Term Bond Fund Index + 15% iCOMDEX Composite Index. Subscriptions will be available daily, while redemptions will be available weekly on Mondays.
The signal: "Asset allocation is a fundamental principle of investing and remains relevant across market cycles," said chief business officer Hemant Kumar, adding that "no single asset class or strategy works consistently across cycles." The launch adds to India's growing roster of specialised investment funds targeting sophisticated, market-neutral strategies.
