Try Dealroom →, a UK-based fund administrator with offices in Edinburgh, London, Jersey, and Guernsey. Financial terms were not disclosed. Standish provides fund administration to the private capital industry; NCM serves alternative investment funds across private equity, venture capital, real assets, social impact, and private debt strategies.

Why now? The deal is part of Standish's continued investment in its European platform, including its operations in London and Luxembourg. Adding Jersey and Guernsey gives Standish a presence in all key jurisdictions for fund formation.

What's the endgame? The acquisition adds AIFM, depositary, and operator services to Standish's UK offering, and lets both firms cross-sell across jurisdictions including Luxembourg and the US. After closing, Standish will have more than 300 employees across EMEA, serving over 190 clients across 750 fund structures. Its global team will exceed 1,300 professionals across North America, Europe, Africa, and Asia.

What changes for customers? NCM's management team will keep leading the business and will reinvest part of its proceeds to become shareholders of the Standish Group. NCM clients will continue working with their existing teams, with no change to service or delivery.

"Bringing our firms together meaningfully expands our capabilities in the UK and the Channel Islands and creates a stronger platform to support our clients across Europe," said Bob Raynard, chairman, chief executive officer, and founder of Standish.

The transaction is expected to close later this year, subject to regulatory approvals.

The signal: The deal reflects ongoing consolidation among independent fund administrators as firms build out cross-border platforms to serve private capital managers in every major fund domicile.
