What's the deal? The Asian Development Bank (ADB)Dealroom has a profile for this one. The terms: The 3-year bond carries a 4.875% coupon and matures on October 2, 2029, priced to yield 5.7 basis points over comparable US Treasury notes. The 7-year bond carries a 5% coupon and matures on September 30, 2033, yielding 7.3 basis points over Treasuries.

What's the endgame? Proceeds support ADB's ordinary capital resources, which fund its operations across Asia and the Pacific. It plans to raise roughly $39 billion to $45 billion from capital markets in 2026.

Who's buying? Demand skewed toward Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, which took 56% of the 3-year issue and 60% of the 7-year. Banks were the largest buyer group in both tranches, followed by central banks and official institutions.

Why now? "The transaction reflects robust demand from investors across regions," said ADB treasurer Tobias Hoschka, who added that it shows continued confidence in the bank's credit profile and development mandate. Sovereigns and supranationals have kept tapping dollar and euro markets in 2026 despite higher Treasury yields and a stronger dollar.

The signal: The deal ranks among the largest of its kind, sitting in the top tier of comparable debt raises tracked in the region. Resilient appetite and contained spreads continue to support heavy issuance, even as borrowing costs stay elevated.
