NG.CASH lands $15M to bring credit to young Brazilians
What's the deal? Brazilian fintech NG.CASH has raised $15 million in a strategic round led by Blockchain Capital. The investment brings its total funding since a 2021 founding to over $65 million.
What does it do? NG.CASH started as an offshoot of a YouTube channel and now serves more than 10 million accounts, with billions of dollars transacted. Its core users come from middle- and lower-income households, many opening a family's first-ever bank account.
What's the endgame? Credit products including Crédito CLT and Pix Crédito are driving growth, and the company targets US$255.8M (nearly $200 million) in credit originated by 2027. It holds two Central Bank of Brazil licenses and has a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) application in process.
Why now? "Millions of young Brazilians have grown up without a financial platform built for the way they actually live and bank," said chief executive officer and co-founder Mario Augusto Sá. He said the round confirms NG.CASH is "building what comes next as money itself evolves in Brazil."
Why it matters: The round lands in the upper tier for its stage — the $15 million sits in roughly the top fifth of comparable deals. That scale signals investor conviction in a company already operating at mass-market reach.
Investor view: "We've spent years looking outside the U.S. for the next generation of category-defining fintech companies," said Kinjal Shah, general partner at Blockchain Capital. "Brazil is exactly the kind of market we believe will produce them."
The signal: The deal reflects venture firms looking beyond a saturated US market toward large emerging markets like Brazil. NG.CASH's YouTube-born distribution positions it as an early mover on stablecoin and crypto adoption at scale in the country.
