Try Dealroom →, a wargaming and experimentation specialist, for an undisclosed sum. The move deepens a partnership that has run since 2017.

What does each side do? Havelsan builds simulation and training solutions for defence customers. ETE Teknoloji makes the hymots®, etecube®, and nginr® products, which are compatible and interoperable with Havelsan's existing systems.

Why now? The two companies have worked together for nearly a decade. Havelsan already held the sales rights to ETE's products under a 2023 agreement, and business development in Türkiye and abroad has led to several projects, some already completed.

What's the endgame? Havelsan wants to establish wargaming centres internationally, configured for different countries and backed by consulting, maintenance, and operational services. It aims to move beyond selling individual products toward larger, long-term projects.

The deal was signed at the Havelsan Technology Campus by chief executive officer Dr. Mehmet Akif Nacar and ETE Teknoloji general manager Prof. Dr. Erdal Çayirci.

What they're saying: "With the agreements signed today, HAVELSAN has become a shareholder in ETE Teknoloji," Nacar said. Its engineering teams will "develop advanced technologies for the Turkish Armed Forces as well as for friendly and allied countries," he added.

The signal: By absorbing a long-time partner, Havelsan is consolidating its computer-assisted wargaming capabilities in-house and positioning for export-driven growth in international defence markets.
