Try Dealroom → has closed its third private equity fund at its hard cap of $305 million, focused on Thailand and the Greater Mekong region. The firm declined to raise the cap despite the fund being substantially oversubscribed.

Who backed it? Participating limited partners include asset managers, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, funds-of-funds, and family offices. The International Finance Corporation committed $60 million, split evenly between the fund and a co-investment allocation.

The fund launched last year with a $250 million target, according to an IFC disclosure. The International Finance Corporation anchored Lakeshore's debut fund, which closed on $60 million in 2014, and re-upped for the $150 million Fund II in 2021.

What's the endgame? Fund III will target growth and buyout deals in mid-market businesses across Thailand, Vietnam, and the wider Greater Mekong region. It will prioritise companies that can expand within Southeast Asia or drive industry consolidation.

Co-founder and managing partner Anotai Adulbhan said the firm sees "significant opportunities across the Greater Mekong region, particularly in sectors supported by rising consumption, urbanisation and the development of the middle class."
