Why Serbia? The plant expands PWO's local production capacity and deepens its footprint in European automotive value chains. The European Investment Bank frames its backing as support for European Union foreign direct investment and technological transfer in the country.

What's the endgame? As carmakers shift toward electrified vehicles, PWO is positioning its Serbian operation to supply lighter components for that transition. The EIB financing lowers the cost of scaling that capacity.
