Circular Services buys Re:Dish, adding reuse to recycling empire

What's the deal? Circular ServicesDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, one of the largest recycling and composting companies in the US, has acquired Re:DishDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a provider of reuse solutions for foodservice. The deal, announced in September 2026, adds full-service reuse programs to Circular Services' offerings. Terms were not disclosed.

What each side brings: Circular Services runs 40 recycling, composting, and reuse operations serving municipalities and businesses. Re:Dish, founded in 2020 by Caroline Vanderlip, manages the supply, collection, and cleaning of reusable containers and dishware for enterprise and institutional customers, including Barclays Bank.

Why now? Re:Dish targets the nearly 1 trillion single-use foodservice products thrown out each year. Since launching, it has diverted more than 9 million single-use packaging items from landfill and enabled over 200,000 users to reuse.

What changes for customers? Circular Services says clients now get a single, integrated partner managing their highest-volume material streams. "We believe the most effective materials management solutions address our customers' biggest pain points—high disposal costs, low diversion, and limited visibility," said Jessica Long, the company's chief sustainability officer and chief operating officer.

What's the endgame? Circular Services is building circular economy infrastructure to keep materials out of landfills. Adding reuse lets it tackle single-use packaging directly, alongside recycling and organics. "We are thrilled to become part of Circular Services and advance our shared mission to eliminate waste," said Vanderlip.

The signal: The acquisition points to consolidation in waste and circular economy services, as operators bundle recycling, composting, and reuse into one offering. For businesses facing rising disposal costs and diversion targets, a single integrated provider is becoming the pitch.
