Acquisition

Sweden's Sigrén acquires 30-year-old Lotta Jewellery, opens flagship store

What's the deal? Swedish e-commerce firm Elin Sigréns Sägen ABDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has acquired Lotta JewelleryDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, the jewellery brand founded three decades ago by designer Lotta Andersson. The deal value was not disclosed.

What's the endgame? Sigrén will run Lotta Jewellery from October and open a shared flagship store on Hamngatan on October 9. Both brands will operate under one banner, scaling up their identities together.

Why now? Sigrén, whose own e-commerce business began in 2007 with recycled porcelain and steel in a Nordic style, is using the acquisition to accelerate. "It feels very special to take over a shop and a brand that has been part of Malmö for so long," Elin Sigrén wrote (translated from Swedish).

Behind the numbers: Both companies enter the venture in profit but in different reporting periods. Sigréns Sägen ABDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → grew revenue 8% to just over 5.6 million kronor in 2025, swinging from a loss of about 34,500 kronor to a net profit near 120,000 kronor, with roughly 600,000 kronor in cash on hand to fund the new store.

Lotta Jewellery's parent, Lotta Djossou Design ABDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, saw revenue dip slightly to just above 5 million kronor in 2024, but turned its result after financial items from about minus 295,000 kronor to just under 300,000 kronor.

What's next for the founder? Andersson, whose brand drew on recycled precious metals and inspiration from travels in over 70 countries, has cleared the shelves through a closing sale. "You created Lotta Jewellery, now the world awaits me with new adventures," she wrote (translated from Swedish).

The signal: The tie-up shows how small, profitable Nordic e-commerce brands are consolidating to pool craft heritage and physical retail — trading independence for scale and a shared storefront.
