Construction-gear platform Vuilder lands early VC from CNT Tech
What's the deal? VuilderDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, the operator of South Korean construction-machinery trading platform VUILDER, has raised an early-stage round from accelerator and investor CNT TechDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →. The amount is undisclosed by mutual agreement.
What does the company do? Founded in July 2024, Vuilder digitises the full B2B trading process for construction equipment — from quotes and contracts to settlement. It earns a percentage of each transaction as commission, and both builders and rental firms use the platform with no upfront cost.
Why it matters: The platform lets buyers compare multiple rental quotes at once and keeps contracts in digital form to cut disputes. Its headline feature: shortening payment settlement cycles from up to 90 days to within 14.
What's the endgame? Vuilder plans to upgrade its domestic platform and expand into cross-border trade of used construction machinery, targeting Southeast Asian markets such as Indonesia and Vietnam.
The investment follows CNT Tech's earlier support for Vuilder through the Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology's "smart construction startup accelerating and open innovation" program.
CNT Tech chief executive officer Jeon Hwa-seong said Vuilder "solves inefficiencies in the construction-machinery trading process with digital technology," adding that the firm would keep backing its overseas growth. Vuilder chief executive officer Lee Jun-ho said builders prioritise time and cost savings while rental firms value payment security and volume, and that the partnership aims to "advance the platform to meet both at once."
The signal: The deal reflects investor appetite for startups digitising slow, paper-based legacy industries — here, using data-driven workflows and faster settlement to smooth friction between builders and equipment lessors, with a path to expand abroad.
