Zhongyi raises ~$15M angel round to build robots' operating system

What's the deal? Chinese startup Zhongyi Embodied IntelligenceDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has raised nearly US$13.8M in an angel round. Anda Intelligent led the round, with Shengangtong CapitalDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → participating.

What's the endgame? Zhongyi is building what it calls "infrastructure" and an "operating system" for the robotics industry. Its aim: to let robots from different brands work together.

Why now? The company is targeting a specific pain point — robots from different manufacturers cannot currently coordinate with one another. That interoperability gap is what Zhongyi hopes to close.

The signal: A round this size at the angel stage points to investor appetite for the plumbing beneath the robotics boom, not just the machines themselves. If Zhongyi succeeds, its layer could become the common ground on which rival robot makers operate.
