What's the endgame? The company connects patient-reported outcomes to clinical workflows, integrating with more than 50 EHR systems including EpicDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, Oracle CernerDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, and Athenahealth. It serves over 870 healthcare organisations and 17 million patients across the US, and has collected more than 70 million patient outcomes.
Where's the money going? PatientIQ plans to deepen its presence across specialties and health systems, expand its real-world evidence platform for medical device and life science companies, and build a direct-to-patient marketplace. Since its 2022 Series B, its EHR-integrated network has grown from 200 organisations to over 870.
Why now? The round lands as the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services expands patient-reported outcome requirements and payers tie reimbursement to clinical outcomes. Device and life science firms face parallel pressure to generate real-world evidence for regulatory submissions and post-market surveillance.
Travis Hughes, founder and managing partner at Hughes & Company, will join PatientIQ's board. His firm studied the space for a year before investing. "What we found in PatientIQ is something rare — a company that helped create and define an entirely new category that has a meaningful impact on quality of care," he said.
The signal: At $30 million, the raise sits in the top half of comparable rounds, a signal of investor conviction in outcomes data as healthcare infrastructure. As chief executive officer Matthew Gitelis put it, the barrier has never been will but infrastructure — and capital is now flowing to firms building it "specialty by specialty, workflow by workflow."
