Founded in 2021 by Caroline Poinsignon and Thibault Boyeux, the company runs a platform that centralises direct commercial relationships between stores and suppliers.
What's the endgame? Kheops started by tackling the admin burden of "direct commerce" — purchases stores make from suppliers outside centralised buying networks. It now wants to use the data those exchanges generate to recommend assortments and anticipate orders, shifting its value from workflow to commercial decision-making.
The platform handles the full cycle: matching, product listing, orders, delivery, invoicing, and payment. That lets a store work with more suppliers without a proportional rise in administrative load, and lets suppliers reach more outlets.
By the numbers: Kheops is now deployed in more than 500 stores, giving access to over 200,000 products from more than 3,000 suppliers. Over the past 12 months, order volume handled quadrupled and revenue tripled. Suppliers on the platform see an average 20% rise in revenue per store, the company says.
Kheops also says it works with France's main grocery retailers and recently signed a partnership with CarrefourDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →. Tens of millions of euros in orders pass through the platform each year.
The signal: The round sits in roughly the top 3% of early-stage marketing rounds in France by size, a mark of investor conviction in retail data plays. As the network grows, the transaction data — references, volumes, frequency, location, and performance — could become an asset as valuable as the software that moves the orders.
