BharatPe raises ~$14M in debt ahead of potential IPO

InnoVen led with US$10.9M. Neo Group invested US$5.43M through two of its alternative investment funds, while Alteria contributed US$2.04M.

The company cited new rules as the trigger. "It is intended to consolidate the PA business in the group into a single entity," BharatPe said, referencing the Reserve Bank of India's September 2025 directions on payment aggregators.

What about the IPO? BharatPe could file its IPO documents by the end of FY27, having started meeting bankers in September 2025. Chief executive officer Nalin Negi said the company is prioritising profitability and would list when conditions allow.

"There will be a pre-IPO funding round, while an IPO is not on the cards for FY26," Negi said. "Anything beyond that is a fair game, once the market conditions are right."

The signal: A wave of Indian fintechs is heading to the public markets. PhonePe is targeting a listing between February and March 2027, and Razorpay has won shareholder approval to raise over US$366.7M through its planned IPO — putting BharatPe among a growing cohort chasing Dalal Street.
