VOLL raises $140 million from Warburg Pincus to scale AI travel tools

What's the deal? Brazilian travel and expense platform VOLLDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has raised US$179.1M in a growth equity round led by Warburg Pincus. The company plans to expand its AI-powered corporate travel offering across the Americas.

What does VOLL do? Founded in 2017, VOLL combines travel booking, corporate payments, expense management, and traveler support in a single mobile platform. It serves more than 850,000 monthly active users at organisations including ItaúDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, Nubank, McDonaldDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →'s, DanoneDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, and iFood.

The numbers: VOLL ended 2025 with revenue of US$358.1M, up more than 50% from the prior year. The company says the Warburg Pincus deal is one of the largest in Latin America's corporate travel sector in more than a decade.

What's the endgame? VOLL wants to move corporate travel from booking support to automated decision-making across travel, expenses, and reimbursements. Its current tools include ExpenseHelper for expense auditing, RatesAudit for monitoring negotiated hotel rates, and AirSave for flagging cheaper equivalent airfares before ticketing.

The company says these features are designed to evolve from decision-support tools into autonomous operational agents. It also offers 24/7 traveler support in Portuguese, English, and Spanish.

Why now? VOLL argues corporate travel remains fragmented across airlines, hotels, ground transportation, expense reporting, and payments — a gap it wants AI to close. Chief executive Brandão said the future of business travel will depend on "real-time operational decisions rather than booking speed."

The signal: The round sits among the larger corporate travel deals in the region and reflects a broader enterprise shift, where AI moves from surfacing information to executing workflows and enforcing rules. If the strategy works, VOLL could become a reference point for applying enterprise AI to travel operations, not just software.
