Angle Health raises $200M Series C to bring AI-driven benefits to small businesses

What's the endgame? The San Francisco company runs an AI-native healthcare benefits platform that lets employers with as few as two staff offer customised plans. Its Benefit Builder tool lets brokers generate underwritten quotes in minutes. It now serves over 5,000 employers with plans available in 47 states.
Why now? The raise lands as employers face the largest increase in health insurance costs in two decades. Small and midsize businesses are hit hardest, often facing options that are costly, confusing, or simply unaffordable.
The numbers: Angle Health reports 120% year-over-year growth and four consecutive quarters of EBITDA and GAAP net income profitability. It now handles nearly $1 billion in annualised premium-equivalents, with renewal pricing it says sits below market benchmarks.
Why it matters: "Access to great healthcare shouldn't depend on the size of the company you work for," said Ty Wang, co-founder and chief executive officer of Angle Health. Small businesses employ tens of millions of Americans but have historically had the fewest coverage options and little control over costs.
The signal: The raise lands less than 10 months after Angle Health's Series B. As AI lowers barriers to entrepreneurship and small business employment outpaces larger firms, investors are betting the underserved end of the benefits market is where the growth is.
