Overfuel lands $6M to push AI deeper into dealership software
What's the deal? OverfuelDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, an Indianapolis-based automotive technology platform, has raised $6 million in growth equity from Austin's Comedor Capital. The firm led the round, which pairs capital with hands-on operating support. Overfuel builds websites and AI shopping tools for inventory-driven dealerships across automotive, RV, powersports, and commercial truck.
Why now? The round follows a stretch of fast growth: Overfuel says it has grown its dealership website count by more than 225% over the past two years. It marks a clear step-up from the company's previous fundraising.
What's the endgame? The money will fund AI-powered product development and new hires as Overfuel scales. Chief executive officer Alex Griffis said the company wants an "AI-first and API-first" platform that is "more intelligent, more connected, and more open to the broader ecosystem."
What does the platform do? Overfuel combines performance-first websites, AI shopping assistance, analytics, inventory management, and digital retailing. It is certified in multiple OEM programs, and says its optimization has cut website load times and bandwidth requirements by more than 90%.
What the investor sees: Comedor backs founder-led, capital-efficient software and AI-enabled services companies. "Overfuel is exactly what we look for in a partnership: a founder-led, capital-efficient business using technology to solve a real and costly problem for its customers," said managing partner Bradley McBride.
The signal: The deal reflects investor appetite for AI-native tools aimed at legacy industries that incumbents have long underserved. For dealerships, faster, smarter software is becoming a competitive edge — and a magnet for growth capital.
