What's the deal? German dental services platform GPNZ is merging with mydentDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a dentist-led dental group, creating a combined network of around 30 centres in Germany. AlantraDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → acted as exclusive financial adviser to GPNZ. The terms were not disclosed.

Who's involved? GPNZ, founded in 2018, runs 19 dental clinics, a dental laboratory, and a hospital, employing roughly 380 professionals, with a focus on mid-sized cities and affluent suburban areas. Mydent, also founded in 2018 by Dr Kutlutürk and Dr Özcan, operates 12 centres across North Rhine-Westphalia and Hesse.

What's the endgame? The two groups bring complementary regional footprints, giving the merged business more scale to develop its clinics and services. Mydent offers general and preventive care, implantology, oral surgery, endodontics, orthodontics, and aesthetic dentistry.

Why it matters? "The combination with mydent marks an important step for GPNZ and creates a solid foundation for the continued development and growth of the group," said Dr Raphael Clemm, chief executive officer of GPNZ (translated from Spanish).

The signal: Germany's dental services market remains fragmented, and larger platforms are consolidating to meet rising demands around succession, hiring, and investment. "As succession, recruitment, and investment needs increase, larger platforms are well positioned to support professionals and drive further consolidation," said Christopher Jobst, managing director and head of healthcare at Alantra in Germany (translated from Spanish). The deal adds to Alantra's healthcare track record across the DACH region.
