Aureon debuts as financial holding with acquisition of 13M-customer credit platform

What's the deal? Newly created Brazilian financial holding AureonDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has acquired Bom Pra Crédito, a digital credit-origination marketplace founded in 2013, for an undisclosed sum. The deal transfers the platform's assets and technology to Aureon and marks the holding's first move.

What's the endgame? The acquisition gives Aureon a platform that has served more than 13 million customers, fields nearly 2 million queries a month, and processes over 600,000 credit requests monthly. Bom Pra Crédito connects consumers to offers from a network of 70 financial partners.

Why now? Aureon plans to enter credit origination starting with public payroll-deducted loans (consignado público). "The acquisition shortens the path between thesis and operation," said founder and chief executive officer Luiz Henrique Lessa. "Instead of building audience, distribution, and a credit journey from scratch, we're incorporating a platform with 13 years in the market and recurring demand."

The holding sees an opening as large players exit public payroll lending. "Whoever combined reputation, geographic reach, and AI-based technology could become the trusted reference in this type of origination," Lessa said.

Aureon will adapt the platform to operate within strategic agreements, investing in identity validation, proof of life, document analysis, credit checks, anti-fraud controls, and process traceability. Rollout will be gradual and precede commercial expansion. Beyond public payroll loans, the platform could originate personal credit, private payroll loans, and FGTS advances for partner institutions.

The holding operates on a B2B model, reaching end consumers through B2B2C relationships, distributing products within ecosystems and qualified bases. It plans to grow through in-house development, partnerships, and new acquisitions.

The signal: Aureon's launch comes as Brazilian households face payment pressure. Serasa ExperianDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → reported 83.9 million delinquent consumers in July 2026, up 2.6 million from January, with 51% of the adult population in default owing US$149.9B. That backdrop, the holding argues, raises the stakes for responsible origination, risk analysis, and transparent credit comparison.
