Try Dealroom →, a Greek SaaS platform that turns ESG and impact data into business value, has raised a €335,000 seed round led by Investing for Purpose (IFP)Dealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, with participation from a group of angel investors including Panos Behrakis. The round brings the company's total funding since its founding to more than €600,000.
What does it do? Dataphoria serves both small and medium-sized enterprises and the funds that invest in them. Funds get a clearer view of the sustainability performance and prospects of their portfolio companies, while those companies gain access to growth and financing opportunities through sustainability.
Who's using it? Three Greek investment funds — Halcyon Equity PartnersDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, Uni.FundDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, and Investing for Purpose — currently use the platform, along with the more than 60 companies they have backed. Dozens of independent Greek SMEs are also among its users.
Why now? IFP also led Dataphoria's first round three years ago. Between the two rounds, the company reworked its software to show the business value of ESG and how it translates into sales and financing, shifting its market position from a compliance tool to a value-and-ROI proposition.
Fresh faces: Dataphoria expanded its leadership alongside the raise. Joining co-founders Anastasis Stamatis (chief executive officer) and Fenia Sourla (chief operating officer) are two new partners: Dimitris Stoumbos as chief financial officer and Behrakis as chief growth officer. Stoumbos built his career in Canada in senior financial roles, while Behrakis brings nearly 20 years of commercial experience, 10 of them in global marketing roles in the US.
What's the endgame? The new capital goes to three areas: building the commercial team, automating the platform with AI, and forging partnerships with funds outside Greece. "The new economy is built when sustainability enters the balance sheet," said Stamatis (translated from Greek).
The signal: The raise sits in the lower band for size, but it marks continued backing for sustainability-focused startups in Greece. "They continue to dynamically adapt their business model to the evolving needs of the market," said Richard Mullane, a partner at Investing for Purpose — a bet that ESG data is becoming a commercial asset rather than a compliance cost.
